My blog highlights some of my past experiences in travel from 1978 to the present. Some of the photos are scanned slides particularly the ones of Africa. The balance were taken with my Nikon digital camera and a variety of lenses. Enjoy all you see and comments are welcome.

Boats, Boats and more Boats
A few Boats in Sorrento and the surrounding area......
Fantastica (how's my Italian? What, that's not Italian? OK.) I love these shots. What a beautiful harbor in the title shot. And what a selection of boats. Everything from a sleek racer to a floating bill board! On the shot of you all in the boat, it appears that you're returning from a shopping expedition, as evidenced by the bag of goodies that Ann Marie seems to be cradling in front of her. Where were you returning from I wonder?
always interesting to see how towns have built themselves around the hub of their transportation and trade. and obviously the piers are still a great part of Italy's economics and commerce. we look at usa's coastal cities - once so prosperous (rockland down to portchester, for example), and it is sad to see how we have ignored what were priceless economic assets. sorry, no lecture, these are really nice pix.
