wow, that flower on top looks like a mexican sunflower. or is it a poppy? it is beautiful, as are all the birds of paradise shots.
it is amazing these flowers just exist in our world, naturally. there is some good out there.

I love those black geese.
Where?

I am just realizing why the swans(geese?)and the fish are all together and facing you. They thought you were going to feed them! Did you?

Hey, it's about time you changed the picture at the top of your blog.
Kinda reminds me of the Goldberg lawyers commercial bird.
But it's really a nice picture. I like it, all kidding aside....Well, most kidding anyway.
Do I really have to identify myself?

zoom! wow, look at the detail in this photo. You even can notice how large and beautiful the eyes are on this hawk. Look at the claws, too, beginning to open as he (or she?) comes in for a landing. I also like the way the clouds seem like contrails behind the bird. This is a great photograph, Jim.

obviously this is italy. I am not a fan of boats (I get seasick I don't know why) but the motorboat trip you took with the cousins to the island looked fun. cuz vince wrote (he is coming here) and he has a time share place (or does he own it) down in st. thomas. beautiful water views. maybe we could all go for a visit next summer - his place is large enough I think. but then again there's italy to visit family sites....too much to do! (and yes, the photo is striking with the yellow boat against blue waters, the flag whipping in wind and the whitewater churning...)

Well, I was gonna say I liked the photo and the vivid colors and everything, but the person above me beat me to it.
WAIT! Is that Ann Marie and Jim in the boat? You know, the ones sitting closest to the flag, looking over the side? Maybe heaving?
Really is a nice picture though.
